Around 19 million days are lost because of abuse that results in accidents and mistakes, increased sick leave, lost productivity and higher recruitment costs. Harrassment and bullying has extended from the playground to the workplace, making the lives of many workers intolerable. This course can be delivered over a half a day or a full 1 day course courses are run in an interactive student-centred style with all assurances given to create a safe learning environment. Wherever possible the delegate’s attention will be directed towards the organisations' workplace Bullying and Harassment Policy to ensure accurate knowledge of their roles and responsibilities towards creating a safe working environment free from bullying and harassment.

The Health & Safety Act 1974 states clearly that an organisation has to create a safe working environment for its employees. This includes freedom from the problems of the workplace bully. The workforce must be protected from these destructive behaviours. Managers have a vital role to play in this and can be held vicariously liable if they allow it to flourish in their teams. This training aims to give an understanding of workplace bullying and harassment for those with managerial responsibility and to explore the practicalities and problems involved in implementing local policy.
